TV Preview: "Deliverance"- A Turning Point & Test....

Sleepy Hollow's season two began as our heroes were released from their respective "prisons", then introduced to the new kids on the block, Sheriff Reyes and Nick Hawley.  Though there have been bits and pieces of the apocalyptic mythology embedded within each episode, we had yet to see a solid, straight 'End of Days' installment.  Hold on to that safety bar Sleepyheads, we have reached the top of the roller-coaster and "Deliverance" will take you on a ride of epic proportions!

Those that are "Ichatrina" fans will be taken on a journey of pure adoration for the couple, but also be reminded why we love Ichabod so much!  The lengths that he goes to help his wife, even after all the lies, is nothing short of unconditional love.  Though the two have been apart for centuries, it is clear to see how devoted they are to each other, no matter what is thrown in their path.  Not only will the couple face an extraordinary circumstance, but Ichabbie comes to a crossroads of sorts where they will be tested like never before,

The episode further explores Henry's allegiance, even as his father attempts to reach the humanity within him. It also reveals a part of his past that surprises Ichabod, which only fuels his desire to push his son towards redemption.  Question is, will Henry allow this side of him to be ignited?  How loyal is he to Moloch who rose him from the grave, only to realize the love he seeks will never be found in the monster?  And what about Abraham?  If there's a road to redemption for Henry, the Horseman of War, can the Horseman of Death be saved too?  This week it's made abundantly clear that Abraham has no knowledge of Henry's plans for Katrina.  In addition, his love for her is very strong and she actually does call out for his help when things escalate with Henry.  Is it possible that Katrina really does love Abraham, though she married Ichabod?  Can she be in love with both men?  It all remains to be seen!

While there are a couple of light moments, the episode provides another opportunity for character development, as well as a little pay off with a few of our questions finally being answered. Watching this episode is reminiscent of the finale to a certain extent.  It's incredibly well written and acted. Katia Winter shines like never before and Tom Mison's scene with John Noble is nothing short of brilliant, definitely Emmy-worthy, proving once again how fabulously talented they are. Nichole Beharie's performance also delivered, conveying a real struggle within Abbie as a tough decision is discussed with Ichabod. She's sort of between a rock and a hard place, trying to walk the line of being there for her partner, while keeping their mission to stop the apocalypse center stage.  How do you tell Ichabod he may need to sacrifice either his wife or son for the greater good of mankind?  It's a slippery slope.

Miscellaneous Scraps

Sheriff Reyes has been a thorn in Ichabbie's side, making no bones about her disdain for Ichabod; however, looks like she'll finally see the light, so I'm expecting smoother roads for Ichabbie going forward.  Unfortunately our girl Jenny not in this episode, nor is our strapping bounty hunter Hawley, but the action is so intense your heart will be pumping a mile a minute and you won't have time to miss them! In a light moment, as previously reported, Ichabod will see 21st century voting in action when Abbie takes him to the polls.  His outrage at the low number of Americans using their God-given right to vote doesn't escape the man who fought so hard for our liberties.  I love that Abbie points out that in his time, she wouldn't have been able to vote- either as a woman, as someone who doesn't own property, or as an African-American!  It's nice to see how far our country has come and I think it's very responsible for the writers to include historical facts, one of the reasons I love the show so much!

All I can say is at the end of this roller-coaster ride, fans will feel like they've just run a marathon, with a better understanding of the Crane's, Henry and even Abraham Van Brundt!  For me, "Deliverance" is the most intense, edge-of-your-seat, heart-stopping, terrifying, thrilling episode this season and will have fans screaming at their screens!

TV Review: "The Walking Dead"- Four Walls & a Roof

Ever since we learned what Terminus was all about, fans have been itching to see Rick (Andrew Jackson) dole out a dose of justice his way and cut down ring leader Gareth (Andrew J. West).   This week he was taken out to the delight of all!

Last week the episode ended with Gareth and his brood of cannibals chomping on Bob's (Lawrence Gillian, Jr.) leg after taking him from the church. The gang realizes he's missing, along with Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride), which sent alarm bells ringing!  As Rick and company scramble to figure out what happened, they confront Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam), suspicious he has something to do with the disappearances.  In a shocking revelation, the good father finally comes clean.  Several of the town's resident were holed up at the church with their families when Walkers made their way inside!  In a horrifying account, Gabriel describes how they were overtaken, with victims screaming his name for help!  He was the sole survivor and is having a difficult time living with what happened.  If only he had locked the church doors that fateful night it might not have happened.  After hearing the gruesome story, all hands were on deck to figure out what happened to their comrades.

Meanwhile, Gareth takes great pleasure in chowing down Bob's leg in front of him, as he attempts to have a "normal" dinner conversation with his prey.  After rambling on, Bob begins to laugh uncontrollably to Gareth's dislike, and demands to know what is so funny?  Bob clues him in on the fact they had just eaten tainted "meat"...he was bitten at the food bank!  Gareth's TWD Walls3cohorts are sickened as they realize their dinner might cause them to die!  Of course Gareth isn't concerned, "We boiled it."

At the church, Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) is done dealing with the Terminus cannibals and decides he's taking his small crew to DC to find a cure.  However he requests that Glen (Steven Yuen) and Maggie (Lauren Cohen) go with them.  Rick, Sasha (Sonequa Martin) and company want to finally put an end to Gareth and refuse to leave until they are dealt with.  As they continue to debate, suddenly Bob reappears on the front lawn! They haul him into the church, where in a sea of tears, he admits he was bitten by Walkers.  All are ready to take down Gareth, especially after eating their own!  Ultimately Abraham and Rick come to an agreement- he'll stay until noon, then he's heading to DC with his group.

After Rick leaves the church, it doesn't take but a moment or two before Gareth and his savage group enter, hell-bent on taking them down for a nice breakfast!  The gang is hidden among the dark corners of the church as they silently watch Gareth attempt to coax them out from behind one of two closed doors. Suddenly, out of the darkest a shot rings out and two of the cannibals hit the ground as Rick emerges and takes control of the situation!  In a role reversal reminiscent of their first meeting, Rick orders Gareth to kneel before him.  Though the cannibal attempts to talk his way out of it, Rick takes immense pleasure in delivering the blow to end this chapter!

Later, Michonne (Danai Gurir) finds her sword and the warrior we love seeps back into her eyes.
In the closing moments, Abraham and his group, which includes Glenn and Maggie, drive off on their quest to DC to hopefully find out if there is a cure.

This week's episode was another intense emotional one, especially saying goodbye to Bob, which was heartbreaking to watch.  One of the best moments was during the opening scenes when Bob began laughing at Gareth for eating his Walker infected body and seeing the panic among the cannibals.  It was sort of poetic justice, which addsTWD Walls10d a light moment within a very tragic one.

In the end, Gareth and his crew deserved what they got and I found it very poignant as he knelt before Rick, begging to free him much like Rick had done in Terminus.  Loved that parallel.  If you're a hardcore fan, I'm sure you noticed as I did, the fact that Rick killed Gareth with the red-handled machete as promised in the premiere episode when he vowed to do just that! It was a sweet symphony of justice!
I was a little disappointed we didn't see Daryl and Carol this week, as they make their way towards finding Beth (Emily Kinney).  Fans are anxiously awaiting to hear her story-- who has her and what is she going through?  Looks like next week we finally get the answers!  In the sneak peek on The Talking Dead, Beth awakens in what appears to be a city, though definitely with signs of the apocalypse aftermath.  My guess is she's in DC, hopefully about to be rescued by Daryl and Carol.  Producers indicated after the S5 premiere that we'll see the full story in episodes four and five.

Another touching scene was the moment that Tyreese made the decision to deliver the final execution after Bob died.  He's been sort of hidingTWD Walls8 in the background, not willing to kill anything as he plays babysitter to Judith.  I think it was a very pivotal moment for the character that he takes the burden from Sasha, effectively sparing her the guilt of having to do it.  It's clear though he has strong feelings about killing in this new world of survival, there is a moment when a mercy killing is necessary. Question is, how will this affect him and will it change how he thinks moving forward?  Only time will tell.

This week Gareth himself, Andrew J. West was a surprise special guest on The Talking Dead, along with 24's Mary Lynn Rajskub and Guns 'n Roses guitarist, Slash!

According to West, producers told him he would be killed by the third episode this season.  He explained when he auditioned for the role in S4, they clued him in on the cannibalism aspect of his role. Though he thought it was only for one episode, he was happy to receive a call asking him to return for S5.  In West's view of the character, he feels that Gareth became a leader, with an unwavering philosophy of what it takes to live in this new world.  In his mind it's eat or be eaten.  In contrast, Rick is constantly reevaluating during the series, who can he trust, how do deal with each situation, etc...  Though some have compared Gareth with "The Governor", West believes Gareth is much more set on what his code of living is.  Interestingly, West describes how nice and wonderful it was working with Andrew Lincoln, however, once he's in character it's a bit scary and intense.  He's there in the moment and there is an air of realism to the scene, especially during his final scene when Rick kills Gareth.

Fans poured in with comments for West with regards to Gareth's demise, tweeting, "Why do I find Gareth strangely attractive?", "If Gareth dies we riot", "Why does Gareth have to be so hot, yet such a cannibal, those two can't mix".  I have to agree that while Gareth is definitely attractive, the cannibalism is a deal breaker! LOL TWD Walls11

A few fun facts....

So who did fans think was the scariest character in this episode? Between Gareth, Sasha and Rick, 64% said Rick was scariest!

Who do fans think was with Daryl at the end of the episode?

Is it Beth, Carol or someone else?  58% believe it's someone else.

So what exactly was Gareth and his brood eating during the "Bob's Burger" scene?  Turns out it was pork!

What was West's favorite moment on the set?  From his first day of shooting the finale of S4- he was getting lunch and looked over to see a couple of zombie's hanging out, having a smoke! It was at this point he knew he had arrived on The Walking Dead!

What guitar would Slash use to kill Walkers?  A B. Rich Mockingbird would cut their heads off or crush them!

Who was the "Dead Yourself" fan of the week?  Corey B. from Cumberland, RI.  Congratulations Corey!

Bob's foot was a prosthetic with a piece salt-cured pork glued to it for the big Terminus eat!

Lauren Cohen said the script for the church slaughter was "hair-raising".  Due to the amount of violence in the scene, producers decided not to film it in a real church.

Next week looks to be another incredibly written and produced episode.  Be sure to follow the show on twitter at @TheWalkingDead_AMC, log on to The Walking Dead Website for all the latest in world of The Walking Dead, join the interactive every Sunday on The Talking Dead, immediately following the show by taking quizzes at talkingdead.com/playdead or call in with your questions at (855) 332-3548 and follow them on twitter @AMCTalkingDead

"General Hospital"- Betrayal, Lies & Revenge!

General Hospital has been overrun by criminals of all kinds--- psychotic ex's, international crime lords, reformed homicidal maniacs and those out for revenge!  I'd say it's a recipe for one hell of a Halloween bash!

Ever since Franco (Roger Howarth) found out Carly (Laura Wright) slept with Sonny (Maurice Benard), the gloves have come off and he's out for revenge, his heart broken!  He's planned a Halloween wedding to remember for Carly, who just learned it's to be on the Haunted Star and is not too thrilled at the prospect.  What I find interesting is that she seems to be a little afraid of Franco and what he might do to her should he learn of her infidelity, not to mention how it'll affect Michael. Unfortunately it's too late for that!  Unwilling to give up the charade or plans to marry the former stalker, she's in it for the long haul.  What will she do upon seeing mommy's return?  I love that Heather (Robin Mattson) is back and boy is she crazy as ever, proud of her son's plotting against her nemesis! Question is, will we finally see Franco spiral down to his murdering ways or is this just a huge reveal about Sonny killing AJ (ex-AJ, Sean Kanan)?  I hope it's the former rather than the latter.  I'm dying to see him return to his true self and I feel that Nina (Michelle Stafford) could help him do just that! The two of them are definitely meant for each other- she's scary psychotic in an unhinged way and he's morbidly artistic with a dose of macabre curiosity. What could be a better combination?  Plus, Roger Howarth would rock that
storyline!  I guess we'll have to wait to see if things will really unravel for Franco's psyche.  What will happen once his "brother" Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) reemerges? Will old obsessions bubble to the surface?

I find it amusing that so far Liz (Rebecca Herbst) and Carly, both of whom had very close bonds with Jason, have yet to realize who they've been talking to!  I'm also surprised that hearing all about Jason Morgan hasn't jogged his memory.  What will it take for him to regain his memories?  I think Danny is the answer, still unaware he's his father.

It's been a very long road as fans wait for the big "Fluke" reveal and looks like the explosive moment is coming soon!  Word is Anthony Geary is FINALLY back to work!  He began filming October 20, slated to hit our screens by Thanksgiving. I have to say I am very excited to hear he's returning! While I completely understand the delay, this storyline has been dragged on too long and needs to be finished.  Those of us still perplexed by the criminal's identity will be anxiously glued to the screen, ready for the outragous!  It'll be nice to see Tony back in our living rooms.  What I find interesting about this storyline is how the writers have been able to include most of the cast in this one story, which has been refreshing.  For years one of my pet-peeves was that there were so many mini-stories going on there was a lack of continuity and utilization of the entire cast, with some characters we might not see for weeks or months!  Ron Carlivati has definitely done us proud by creating two distinct storylines that roll into one- Jerome/Sonny/Fluke/Q's and Jason/Patrick/Sabrina/Carlos.  Both have different elements but are ultimately intertwined.  Seems like all the villains are working somewhat the together.

Not only will we see Fluke's return, but Faison (Anders Hove) is headed back to Port Charles as well!  Who doesn't love the Feuding Faisons?  I'm anxious to see exactly what Anna (Finola Hughes) and Robert (Tristan Rogers) did to him and although it appears Tristan will not be returning for this storyline, never say never!  I'm hoping he'll drop in for a scene or two.  Plus, what about Robin (Kimberly McCullough)? Last week we learned that Helena (Constance Towers) and Jerry Jax (Sebastian Roche) are conspiring to obtain controlling interest in ELQ in exchange for Luke, however, neither were aware that Michael (Chad Duell) had taken over.  Obviously they have the "real Luke" and apparently have no clue as to Fluke's existence, which I find odd since Helena is always very thorough with her plans.  We know Helena definitely has Robin and Luke, as well as knows all about Jason's memory loss.  How does he factor in and what is she planning to do with Robin?  Another round of  save my sons? My guess is Helena has joined forces with Faison, which they've done in the past.  But if this is the case, is he also working with Fluke?

And what about Ric (Rick Hearst) who had to fake his own death? Molly (Haley Pullos) thinks he's dead, his good name tarnished thanks to Julian Jerome and despite her attempts at a confession from him, doesn't believe for a minute that her father was in charge of the operation. Now that Tony Geary is back filming, it won't be long before Rick Hearst returns to the set.  How will he regain his life and is this the end of Julian? We know Theresa Castillo (Sabrina) is leaving the show and one more contract player is slated to make an exit as well.  I really hope it's not one of the Jerome's (aka) William DeVry (Julian Jerome) or Mara West (Ava Jerome) because they are two of my favorite actors on the show.  But let's face it- Julian has screwed up the operation so bad, I wouldn't be surprised if Fluke uncerimoniously takes him out! What about Ava?  Her initial purpose was to procure control of ELQ, which she failed miserably and then got herself knocked up with a Corinthos spawn.  How much longer will Fluke take the Jerome's incompetence?  I guess we'll have to wait and see how November sweeps unfold!

Word is another Jax (Ingo Rademacher) is headed back to Port Chuck for a short stint. That's right, Jerry's brother Jasper Jax will stroll back into town and my guess is Joslyn (Hannah Norberg) has something to do with it!  She hasn't been afraid to let Carly know exactly how she feels about her soon-to-be step-father, even going so far as to protest being a part of the wedding on Halloween!  But can anyone blame her?  Jax will return but I don't think our girl will get the parental reunion she's dreaming of.  Of course once Franco exposes Sonny as AJ's killer, Carly kicks him to the curb quicker than a bag of garbage! LOL Not only will it destroy Michael's relationship with Sonny, as well as Carly, but it'll change him in a way we haven't yet seen. Though Michael has taken over ELQ and, according to Ned has run it incredibly, he's kind of been in the background with little to do.  The character has lost any edge he had after surviving rape in prison and I'm hoping this will be a turning point to give Chad more layers to play with. Although he'll also learn that Morgan (Brian Criag) and Kiki (Kris Adlerson) have kept a few things from him about Ava, my guess is after his trust in Sonny is dissemated, he won't give them an inch!

Finally, what is going to be in store for Silas Clay (Michael Easton) now that all of Nina's secrets are out in the open? Will he try to win back Sam?  What happens when Sam (Kelly Monaco) realizes Jason is alive?  Liason fans are ecstatic seeing Liz tending to Jason as always, but I find it strange that with all of the things she's shared about Jason Morgan, he has yet to remember a single moment of his life.  It's clear that Liz definitely sees sparks of her former lover, but refuses to really take the plunge that this stranger is indeed Jason.  I'm waiting for Sam to walk into the room.  Will she spark his memory or will it take someone like Robin for the memories to flood back?  What about Monica (Leslie Charleson)?  It was such a sad scene last week as she spoke of her lost son.  I'm wondering which Jason will return-- Jason Quartermaine to give the Q's a much-needed boost or Jason Morgan, who has been sorely missed in the Corinthos organization.  Either way, all are going to be shocked and I can't wait to see Sonny and Jason bromance reunite!

November-to-Remember is gearing up and it looks like we're in for lots of incredible reveals, returns and exits in the coming month.  Don't miss a single moment of General Hospital, weekdays on ABC! Watching online?  Be sure to check in on TV Tag, ABC, HuluPlus or use your app to be counted in the ratings!  Let's ensure the network continues to renew the show!

TV Review: "Sleepy Hollow"- Crush On Crane, Jealousy and Lies

Monday's episode of Sleepy Hollow titled "Weeping Lady", written by Raven Metzner, is my favorite this season.  A fair maiden's crush, a jealous jilted ex and yet another secret discovered!  It all culminates to deliver another beautifully crafted chapter.

As SleepyHeads have come to learn, our Sleepy writers are masters at "twistory".  Taking an old legend, myth or piece of history and turning it just enough to become part of Sleepy Hollow lore. "Weeping Lady" was first written in 1779, about a woman who was jilted by her lover and became so distraught, committed suicide by throwing herself off a cliff.  Now her sobbing can be heard, marking her presence as each sorrowful wail seeps through ones soul like ice!  But what does this tale have to do with Ichabod Crane?

It all begins with a visit from Caroline (Laura Spencer), who met Ichabod (Tom Mison) at a revolutionary war reenactment in "Bad Blood" and has been supplying his 18th century threads ever since!  Her hand-churned butter, jelly and authentically sewn new duds aren't just because he's an avid reenactment buff with a keen sense of 18th century knowledge.  Little does Ichabod realize, but Miss Caroline has more than clothing and churned butter on her mind!  She finally makes her feelings known as a confused Ichabod blurts out he's happily married.  To make matters even more awkward, Abbie (Nichole Beharie) arrives and embarrassed, Miss Caroline exits in a hasty retreat.  Of course Abbie's amusement doesn't escape Ichabod, though how could he not know she had "Crane on the brain?" Unlike most 21st century men, Crane prefers to clear the air in person versus a text and pays Miss Caroline a visit to ensure all is well.  An appreciative Caroline is flattered and after a chivalrous bow, they agree to remain friends.

Meanwhile, Henry(John Noble) and Abraham (Neil Jackson) are hell bent on ensuring Katrina's (Katia Winter) cooperation.  Henry knows breaking her bond with Ichabod is the key and with great pleasure, takes it upon himself to personally see his parent's tie is broken.  After "reading" her sins via her favorite book "Gulliver's Travels", he finds the perfect pawn--- Ichabod's old flame Mary Wells (Heather Lind, Turn).  Things start to unravel when Miss Caroline's body is found on the river's edge the next morning.  But who would kill such a sweet girl, a distraught Ichabod questions upon arrival at the scene?  Our dynamic duo surmise that based on the current, it was probable she was killed up stream.  After chatting with a couple of high school students that had been parked under the boardwalk the night of the murder, they learn of the 'Weeping Lady'.  However, the tale is of a very benign spirit who lost her love.  So what has made her turn homicidal?

While researching the Weeping Lady legend at the library, Abbie crosses paths with our newest Sleepy resident and bounty hunter Nick Hawley (Matt Barr), who is taken aback at her icy reception.  Can you blame her after abandoning Ichabbie in hunting down the Pied Piper?  He apologizes and strikes a deal to offer his services at no charge on the next malevolent creature!  As Hawley flirts with Abbie, Ichabod receives message via bird from Katrina, assuring him she's safe and doing well.

Abbie continues her research and suddenly hears sobbing, so turns the corner to find a woman crying, enveloped by a sheen of what looks like water. Pulling her gun, she attempts to detain the weeper but things go from bad to worse when she's suddenly bum-rushed! Although she gets a shot off it's ineffective as she's pulled into a watery portal! Ichabod hears the gunshot as our girl valiantly fights against the weeper and after a few moments of struggle is able to yank her from the portal unconscious!  Clearly panicked, with no knowledge of CPR, all he can do is helplessly watch! Upon hearing Crane call out Abbie's name, Hawley comes to the rescue and saves our girl!  Later in the archives room, Abbie shows Ichabod a piece of fabric from the woman's shawl she got during the struggle. Ichabod is flabbergasted to realize it was a one-of-a-kind shawl made for his ex-betrothed!

In a flashback Ichabod and Katrina discuss property purchased for her and Abraham, when they are interrupted by an uninvited guest--- Ichabod's "betrothed" from England, Mary Wells.  Though they mutually broke off their fixed engagement when Ichabod fled to America, Mary refuses to hear of it, sure that upon reconnecting he'll return with her.  Though he tries to let her down easily, Mary immediately breaks down, then demands a bewildered Ichie pack his belongings to leave in the
morning. Things seemed to be settled when the next day, he receives a letter that she's gone back to England, wishing him well.

Fast-forward to present day.  As Ichabod and Abbie analyze the situation, it's clear Mary killed Caroline because she had designs on Ichabod, then attacked Abbie due to their close bond and they realize Katrina is next!  They enlist Hawley's help in providing an ancient weapon that might stop the supernatural creature. Ichabod and Hawley have a tense exchange, which Abbie quickly diffuses and the bounty hunter hands over a crossbow with a poisoned arrow.  The two head off to get to Katrina and in a moment of shock, upon arrival they see the Headless Horseman take off in quite a hurry! They soon learn that Katrina is gone, the only thing left is the soggy letter she sent Ichabod!  Ichabbie race to the river praying they get there in time!

Meanwhile, Katrina is fighting for her life against the Weeping Lady and with a little magic, is able to command seaweed stalks to wrap their talons around her assailant!  She finally makes it to shore just as Ichabod and Abbie arrive.  Katrina embraces her husband, grateful to see him and after she learns exactly who the Weeping Lady is, an odd look comes over her face, a flash of recognition mixed with fear.  She quickly turns their attention to the task at hand-- stopping Mary by using dark magic! The spell is usually done with two witches, but without another witch handy, Abbie volunteers and the two begin the chant.

Ichabod, with crossbow in hand, tries to hold Mary off long enough for the spell to take effect.  He doesn't have to go very far before he sees his ex, who lifts her veil to lay eyes on her betrothed.  Then in a split second, though Ichabod tries to reason with the jealous creature, she begins to approach him, her glowing green eyes and horrific scream chilling him to the bone!  He
shoots her with the arrow, however it's immediately absorbed by the vapor and suddenly she rushes right through Ichabod leaving him soaking wet!  Katrina and Abbie continue the chant as Mary comes near when, within a few feet of them she abruptly crumbles to the ground! Ichabod cradles her head in his hands, "Why are you still here? What happened to you?"  All Mary can do is point at Katrina before taking her last breath!

Ichabod is at a loss as to what this could possibly mean and Katrina attempts to side-step his questions.  Horrified, Ichabod orders Katrina tell him what happened.  "I will not leave until I hear the truth from our lips! What in God's name did you do?" He firmly demands with underlying anger bubbling to the surface.  According to Katrina, she received a message from Mary the night they met and she accused her of stealing Ichabod away from her, manipulating him, controlling him.  As she became more enraged, Mary began to approach Katrina and tripped, falling to her death over the cliff!  Ichabod is in shock at the revelation, but remembers the letter he received.  Ashamed, Katrina admits to writing the letter, using a spell to make it look like Mary's handwriting.  But why didn't she tell Ichabod?  She was afraid he'd return to England to break the news to Mary's family and she'd never see him again, nor would he fulfill his destiny as a witness.  Ichabod is furious, but there is no time to react-- Abraham rides up and Abbie
knocks Ichabod out of the way before the slice of his axe!  Then Katrina uses magic to keep him at bay and pleads with him not to kill Ichie.  In the end, she leaves with Abraham, to Ichabod's dismay. Later, Katrina accuses Abraham of conspiring with Henry to break her bond with Ichabod, however he denies involvement and assures the only reason he went to the river was for her. Grateful, Katrina thanks him.

Meanwhile in Moloch's (Derek Mears) lair, Henry is reprimanded for his evil deed.  He's furious that Katrina could have been killed because she's one of the Hellfire Shards, a vessel!  Henry apologizes but is left alone, having a temper tantrum in his room.

This episode is my favorite thus far this season.  There were sweet, innocent moments, mixed with deep character development and of course, the creep factor!  I absolutely loved the scenes with Miss Caroline and her admission of feelings for Ichabod, who of course was clueless!  "Crane on the brain" was the hashtag heard 'round the world, as SleepyHeads swooned when our Ichie made it a point to see the fair maiden in person to be sure she was okay.  There aren't too many men out there as noble! It was so heartbreaking to see how distraught he was, blaming himself for causing her death by her association with him.  The memorial service he asked Abbie to help set up at the end of the episode shows how much he cared for Caroline, who made an lasting impression on our hero.

I think Ichabod is slowly seeing things for what they are.  The rose-colored glasses are finally off where Katrina is concerned.  It's always bugged me how he just ignored or excused Katrina's lies, though with always a reason- first he found out she was a spy for Washington, then that she's a witch, was pregnant with Henry and now had a hand in his ex's death!  I believe this is the straw that broke the camel's back.  Not only that, but the look on his face when she willingly returned home with
Abraham-- he was devastated!  I understand there are Ichatrina fans out there and I truly would like to believe in her loyalty, but I'm wondering how she will factor into the witness's plans in the coming apocalypse.

In contrast, Ichabod was clearly panicked, unable to do anything to help Abbie after he pulled her from the watery portal.  He was very vulnerable and would have really fallen to pieces if anything had happened to her. The one person he's been able to completely trust from the moment they met, is Abbie.  They're bond is so strong and both are aware that those close to them can be hurt.  This is the burden of being a witness.  So where will Katrina fit in?  At this point the trust Ichabod had in Katrina is completely disseminated! Let's face it, she certainly wasn't loyal to him agreeing to go back with Abraham.  It was a slap in the face, another kick while he was down!  Why is it necessary for her to keep up this charade?  Is there a bigger picture we're just not seeing?  No matter what happens, it'll be a long time before Ichabod and Abbie ever trust her again or believe in her allegiance to them. I'm on the fence where Katrina is concerned and I feel that she's part of a bigger plan than even Abraham, Henry and Ichabbie know nothing about.  In the end, I hope she chooses Ichabbie over the dark side of the force.

On another note, since the show began we were told Katrina is a powerful witch, with the ability to tip the scales no matter what side she chooses.  Fans have been clamoring to see it and the Sleepy Gods shined upon us!  This week we finally got to see some magic!  It was great to see her compel the bird to be her messenger, use her powers to command the seaweed stalks to attack her assailant and keep Abraham at bay with a zap!  I'm anxious to see much more of this as the series continues!

The Hawley factor....

Nick Hawley is the newest Sleepy Hollow resident who has been described by fans as the "Han Solo" of the show and I'd have to agree!  I find it interesting that while he procures ancient artifacts for the highest bidder, he had never come upon a supernatural creature nor believed in them until his wrestle with the Pied Piper.  Not only that, but he bailed on Ichabbie!  Hawley is a very interesting character, charismatic, has disdain for Ichabod which is definitely mutual and clearly has an attraction to Abbie. Apparently he had a thing with Jenny, which could be another layer to play with as we see more
unfold. With everything we've seen thus far of him, I found it very out of character that he turned down getting busy with Jenny!  I have to say I was a little bummed that he gave Abbie CPR instead of Ichabod, though it's something he would have not learned in his time.  But the lip lock Jenny gave Hawley was hot! She got his motor running and left him dry...I loved it!  I'm anxious to see more of the dynamic between Hawley and Jenny, especially when it's revealed he's digging our "Lieftenant". How will Ichabod react?  I'm DYING to see him get jealous!

Let's talk about Henry for a minute.  He's dropped one huge bomb on Irving, who now realizes Moloch has his soul, so what now?  He really has no choice but to cooperate with Henry for his family's well-being, as well as his own but is he strong enough to fight?  I think things are going to get very scary for Irving as we head into the mid-season finale.  Not only does Henry have Irving in his back pocket, but what about the magical mind-controlling flute he ground up last week?  What is he planning to do with his little miniature model of the town?  I'm a bit concerned that Henry will use the Pied Piper's magical powder to corrupt the residents of Sleepy Hollow but more importantly, be able to use mind control on Ichabbie!  They've been so front and center this season, their bond
gaining strength with every moment they conquer together, what would happen if one of them were turned to the dark side of the force via mind control?  Obviously it wouldn't be their own decision but it could affect the outcome of the apocalypse! With one or both witnesses out of the way, Moloch enters our world and wreaks havoc! Whatever is planned, it's going to be a mind-blowing cliffhanger!

And what about our new Sheriff (Sakina Jaffrey) in town?  Thus far she appears to have no clue of the epic battle about to begin in her jurisdiction, but is she really that clueless?  Before returning to Sleepy Hollow, she worked as border patrol at the U.S.-Mexican border.  Is it possible she was stationed there for a reason?  She knew Lori Mills (Anjanue Ellis), had to have known Sheriff Corbin (Clancy Brown) and I have to maintain she's so by-the-book for a good reason--- maybe to cover the fact she's involved somehow?  It all remains to be seen!

I also want to give a shout out to the special effects department, wardrobe, makeup, set designers- this week everything was so well thought out and crafted.  The makeup job on Heather Lind (Mary Wells) was effectively creepy, glowing eyes and all!  According to showrunner Mark Goffman,
makeup artist Corey Costallano created our Weeping Lady's look by using the conceptual art done prior and nailed it.  The underwater moments were incredible to watch, flawlessly executed and blended well.  Goffman indicated those scenes were shot in a tank, as well as at the river, then combined to make it complete.  The continuity was seamless.

So what's in store for next week?  The episode is titled, "And the Abyss Gazes Back".  Ever heard of a Wendigo? A little background...

It's an ancient legend of a demonic half-beast-- part man, part beast, who has an affinity for human flesh!  The supernatural creature can mimic characteristics of a person or transform from a person to a monster.  Zach Appleman guest stars as the late Sheriff Corbin's son back from fighting in the war overseas.  But is he carrying a secret that will affect the residents of Sleepy Hollow?  Yoga-Bod
anyone?  In another self-exploring moment, Ichabod is going to try one of the 21st century's most popular exercise--- yoga! Question is, did he already know of the ancient practice and learn it from a zen master or is it another lesson in modern-day activities?  Meanwhile, what has Henry got up his sleeve for Irving?  I think it's safe to say that Irving is between a rock and a hard place, which unfortunately he's unable to get out of.  It's another round of Henry the attorney from Hell....literally! Looks like it's going to be another rollercoaster ride, so tune in on October 27 and make sure you're buckled in!

"Sleepy Hollow" Gets A Founding Mother and Ichabod Casts His Vote!

Sleepy Hollow is rich with characters from past and present, all with their own "twistory" thanks to the ingenious writing team.  We've already seen George Washington (Louis Herthman), Benjamin Franklin (Timothy Busfield), Paul Revere (Paul Burke), Benedict Arnold (Scott Poythress), all of whom have crossed paths with our civil war hero Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison).  So who's next on the 18th century train?  According to TVLine, one of our founding mothers is set to make an appearance on the canvass--- Abigail Adams, John Adams' mother! Does this mean we'll also see our second President at some point?  I'd say it's a good bet!  For those unfamiliar with the famed founding mother, she was instrumental as an advocate fighting for women's equal rights.

So who will have the honor of playing this important female in American history?  Buffy the Vampire Slayer veteran Michelle Trachtenberg has been cast and word is Abigail has a past involving Katrina (Katia Winter). Could it be that she was a part of Katrina's coven, Sisterhood of the Radiant Heart? We already know Benjamin Franklin did, so is it far fetched that Abigail Adams might be?  No!  My guess is it's most likely!  But how does her connection affect the coven's mission in the fight to stop Armageddon?  We'll have to tune in to find out!

In an interesting parallel, the November 3 episode titled "Deliverance", Ichabod will have a chance to see what he worked so hard for as he casts his first official ballot!  However, after everything he sacrificed in the name of freedom, his outrage at how few Americans actually vote doesn't go unnoticed.  In fact, he's appalled and rightly so!  I'm sure our founding fathers would be mortified at this after so many lost their lives to give us the liberties we take for granted in this country.  Though there are many problems with our government, those born in the United States should feel a duty to vote.  I believe every individual that signed the Declaration of Independence would be disappointed that it's taken so lightly 238 years later!

Voting isn't the only thing on Ichabod's mind. Even as Abbie (Nichole Beharie) has pointed out on a couple of occasions that Katrina's decision to stay with Abraham was her choice, Ichabod continues to worry for her safety.  However, the trust between them was completely shattered upon learning of yet another secret!  Omissions and lies aside, Ichabbie once again race to save her from a yet another perilous predicament. Will they make it in time?  We'll have to tune in to find out!

As the mid-season break nears, we'll finally meet Lori Mills (Anjanue Ellis), Abbie and Jenny's (Lyndie Greenwood) mother in November tenth's episode which producers promise will lead into a nail-biting mid-season cliffhanger!  With so much going on in Sleepy Hollow, I can only imagine what they've conjured to keep us on the edge of our seats!  I have a feeling there is an earth-shattering cliffhanger sure to make SleepyHeads cry at the long break!

Don't miss a moment of the thrill-ride, every Monday at 9pm after Gotham on FOX!

"Sleepy Hollow"- Always Halloween In The 'World Of Sleepy'

Sleepy Hollow's sophomore year has begun its' thrill ride, captivating Sleepy Heads worldwide!  We've already seen Horseman's of Death and War, Franklin-stein, a regretful Benedict Arnold, Demonic Pied Piper and this week, word is we'll be introduced to the Weeping Lady.  With all these monsters from past and present lurking, Sleepy Halloween is sure to be quite a scare!  FOX has promised fans just that, with three weeks of heart-stopping, spine-chilling, edge-of-your-seat episodes not to be missed!

Last season women everywhere swooned as Ichabod (Tom Mison) burst out of the ground in this century, bringing with him old-world charms, his incredible eidetic mind and unwavering values.

This week's episode titled "Weeping Lady" has a plethora of Sleepy Moments sure to excite hardcore Sleepy Heads!

In season one's finale "Bad Blood", Ichabod stumbled upon a reenactment of the Revolutionary war, though painstakingly inaccurate, he finally found the one place he could replenish his 18th century threads and sidestep 21st century fashion, including "devils trousers".  Little did he realize, but the fair maiden (Caroline, Laura Spencer) keeping him in a never-ending supply has a crush on him!  Of course who wouldn't? Or should I say, who doesn't?  In an awkward moment, she makes her move, to Abbie's (Nikki Beharie) delight upon walking in on the couple. I believe her exact phrase is "Anyone can see she has Crane on the Brain!" To say our hero is embarrassed is an understatement!

Over the summer we learned fans would get a glimpse of Ichabod’s girlfriend before he married Katrina (Katia Winter).  Get ready for some interesting flashbacks as we are introduced to Mary Wells (Heather Lind), whom some may recognize from Turn. Look for her to square off with Katrina as jealousy rears its ugly head! Not only that, but Ichabod and Katrina learn a few things about each other they didn’t know and both are a little disturbed! Meanwhile, newest Sleepy resident bounty hunter Hawley (Matt Barr) does a bit of flirting with our girl Abbie, who seeks him out to help deal with the weeping lady.  How will his flirtation be received by the single "Lieftenent"? I'm anxious to see Ichabod's reaction, though clearly married and unwaveringly in love with his wife, especially because she sought Hawley out!

As the debate goes on between Ichabbie and Ichatrina fans, one thing has me a little worried as the season progresses.  The writers have really put Ichabbie's trust and faith in each other so front and center that I'm concerned in the end one will betray the other.  As Abbie fears putting faith in Katrina's ability to choose Ichabbie over her own son, could Ichabod be the one to waver?  The singular exchange between Ichabod and Henry thus far clearly showed his love for Henry (John Noble), no matter what has happened.  And remember how he spoke of wanting a son to show him things that his father had.  Last week we all saw Henry grinding up that cursed musical bone, designed to control people.  Could this be the one thing that tears Ichabbie apart?  I don't think it would be a choice consciously made, but it would be devastating to see the season end on that note.  What do you guys think?

While you ponder that question, let's take a look at what's coming up...

Three weeks of Sleepy Halloween continues October 27 with "And The Abyss Gazes Back".

Zach Appleman guest stars as Sheriff Corbin’s son, who returns from the war, and may actually have a little secret he's been harboring affecting Sleepy Hollow!  And look who's trying Yoga! So is this a new experience for Ichie or will we find he already practiced the ancient art of exercise years ago, taught by a zen master? What does Henry (John Noble) have up his sleeve for Irving (Orlando Jones) now?  Will he abide by Henry's command to ensure the safety and well-being of his family?  My guess is he will! But what will it mean and what lies ahead for our doomed Captain? Can his soul be saved?

The final installment of Sleepy Halloween "Deliverance" will air November 3.

Looks like Katrina is in dire straits and Ichabbie are in a race against time to get to her.  Plus, it's voting day!  That's right, Ichabod will get a taste of what he fought so hard for and try 21st century voting!  I can only imagine the diatribe that will spew from our Revolutionary war hero.  So which is he- Democrat, Republican or Independent?  My guess is if he's done his research, he won't be happy with any of the parties! LOL

For those lucky enough to be in the Los Angeles area, an adveanced screening of "Deliverance" will be show at Comikaze Expo!

                                               *Details*
                                             Room 406AB

Watch an advance screening of Sleepy Hollow which includes Q&A with Co-Executive Producers and Writers Albert Kim, Damien Kindler and Raven Metzner! SLEEPY HOLLOW is an edge-of-your-seat mysteries and adventures series that focuses on the heroic duo of ICHABOD CRANE (Tom Mison) and ABBIE MILLS (Nicole Beharie) as they fends off the forces of evil to save not only their town, but the world. SLEEPY HOLLOW airs on Mondays at 9 PM ET/PT.

*Participants: Albert Kim, Damien Kindler, Raven Metzner

Looks like we will finally meet Lori Mills in episode nine, played by Anjanue Ellis. Apparently writers had written a scene to be included in the season two premiere, however, it was so jam-packed, they decided to hold on to it for this episode. We know Abbie and Jenny's (Lyndie Greenwood)
mother supposedly had mental issues and killed herself, but recently learned she knew demons were after them. Sheriff Reyes (Sakina Jaffrey) put her in Tarry Town Psychiatric Hospital. But what exactly does the new, by-the-book Sheriff know and is she really against Ichabbie? My theory is that Sheriff Corbin (Clancy Brown) had confided in Reyes or somehow she realized what was going on and admitted Lori to the hospital to protect her. I guess we'll have to wait to see episode nine!

Sleepy Hollow has been a fun ride thus far and I'm anxious to see how the season continues to unfold. My guess is our Sleepy writers have lots of twists, turns and a jaw-dropping season finale planned, so buckle up and hold on tight!

City Senses- A Unique Experience Celebrating Seattle Football

Last night Canon's PIXMA Pro City Senses tour made their final stop at the Axis in Seattle's Pioneer Square.  Seattle native Joel McHale (E Soup, Community) was on hand to host the VIP preview event.

In an intriguing twist, the exhibition enticed guests to use their senses before viewing the images, as the photographers did before shooting the prints.  But how does one incorporate senses touch, smell, hear and taste at a photo gallery?  Guests were given items, then told to imagine how the photographers were inspired by each and interpreted them.  The result?  A unique experience that catapulted one into that moment, evoking an emotional and physical connection to each image.

While most might assume an exhibition about Seattle football would conjure images of Century Link Stadium and the Seattle Seahawks, local photographers utilized a plethora of locations in and around the city.  They each used different styles and methods of print, which accentuated each image, giving a well-rounded peek into what the Emerald City offers.

Meet The Photographers

Joel McHale, a Seattle native, host of E Soup! and currently starring in Yahoo's Community, recently found his love of photography. The actor, writer and producer was honored to be included among the best photographers in the Northwest.

Patrick Bennett is a location photographer who uses natural lighting to create vibrant images.  He's traveled all over the world and spent a year and a half taking in the Argentina culture.  He has the ability to capture genuine moments and personalities.

Connie 'Coco' Aramaki uses her background in photojournalism to deliver compelling and emotional images to tell a story.  She has been recognized by NPPA's Women In Photography for her style of commercial photos.  In addition, she was recognized by Eddie Adams Workshop after her incredible storytelling of women and families struggling with the drug environment at the U.S.-Mexican border.

Nick Hall is originally from England, but has traveled all over the world capturing stunning skies and landscapes.  Though initially a scientist, he found his love for photography and his images have won multiple international awards, including Graphis Best in Photographer 2013 and Luezer's Archive 200 Best Advertising Photography 2013/14.  He was also named one of PDN's 30 in 2011.

Overall, Canon PIXMA's Pro City Senses is a unique experience that allows guests to see Seattle football in the Emerald City from an entirely new perspective.  By evoking ones senses- touch, smell, hear and taste, this interactive exhibit is something people of all ages will enjoy.  Even if you're not a football fan, the images tell various stories of life throughout the city and will please anyone's palate.

The exhibition will only be here one night, open with free admission, Friday, October 17 between 4-8 pm at the Axis Gallery in Pioneer Square.

General Hospital: Favorite Villain Returning!

General Hospital, ABC's long-running soap opera has been on fire!  It's no secret that the networks have cut budgets to an all-time low, but that hasn't discouraged Executive Producer Frank Valentini from pulling out all the stops!  Obviously we all know about November sweeps and this month, things have been revving up!

With Anthony Geary (Luke Spencer, Fluke) sidelined, the storyline of who is Fluke has been pushed back a little bit awaiting his return.  However, Head Writer Ron Carlivati isn't leaving us hanging as the mystery behind "Who Is Luke" continues.

Enter a plethora of villains who appear to be working together-- we learned newly risen-from-the-dead Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) and not-so-ill Jerry Jax (Sebastian Roche) have been conspiring to obtain control of ELQ. What's interesting is it seems Jerry has no idea Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) had taken over the conglomerate and kicked Tracy (Jane Elliott) out!  If they were working for Fluke, they'd already know this, so what are they up to and who else is involved?

Although last time we heard, Robert (Tristan Rogers) and Anna (Finola Hughes) had possibly killed Faison, looks like my second favorite villain is headed back to Port Charles!  Get ready for the dysfunctional Feuding Faisons! That's right, Anders Hove (Ceasar Faison) begins filming this week and word has it will be interacting with several Port Chuckers including Helena, Dr. Olbrecht (Kathleen Gati), Jason (Billy Miller), Sam (Kelly Monaco), Nikolas (Tyler Christopher), Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) and a new addition to the cast, Rob Derringer.Exactly how this new character will fit in is anybody's guess, but if both Helena and Faison are involved, it could be another explosive twist in a storyline that has all fans in a frenzy trying to unravel the mystery!

Who is Fluke and where the hell is Luke?  As previously reported, Robin (Kimberly McCullough0 returns and will be the one to find the real Luke, who most believe is still at Miscavage.  If this is the case, it's possible that Helena and Faison are holding both hostage.  Another one of my favorites is set to get in the mix--- anyone remember the famous phone ring "crazy calling, crazy calling"?  Will Heather (Robin Mattson) help Robin and Luke escape Miscavage? Lord knows she's escaped the supposed "maximum security" facility so many times I can't even count!

Fans are on pins and needles waiting for the big Fluke reveal! I have to give kudos to Ron Carlivati
who has masterfully integrated most of the cast into this storyline in one way or another.  One of my biggest pet peeves in the past has been that there were so many mini-storylines, with characters sort of isolated from each other.  The writers have done what fans asked and developed one main storyline, carefully folding in each character in an interesting way.  I'd say General Hospial has the biggest cast on daytime and while the Fluke storyline has taken a little longer, every single generation is involved-- from the kids (Spencer/Emma/Joslyn/Cameron), to Tracy/Patrick/Sam/Jason/Liz, I could go on and on.  It's been fun watching how each moment connects to the other and although it is taking longer than intended because of Geary's medical leave, I can say without a doubt I'm stumped as to who's the big man in charge!

There is one character that we are eagerly awaiting a return...Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) who had to go into hiding by faking his death, thanks to Julian (William DeVry).  Question is, will we see him before Geary's return?  I think they could definitely figure a way to bring him back early, especially since Molly and Alexis believe he's dead. He needs to clear his name and nail Julian to the wall!  I guess we'll have to wait and see on this one.

Since it's October and General Hospital is teaming with villains, I thought it would be fun to take a look at some of Port Charles infamous villains October 15 on RHeart Radio at 10pm (ET).  We'll chat about some of fan's favorite storylines and will be taking your calls!  Who do you think Fluke is?  What villain would you like to see return?  Join my new co-host Erika Carle and I as we take a look at our resident psychos, want-to-be world dominatorers, and mob Godfathers!
