'Sleepy Hollow': Fans Clamor For "Ichabbie" In Season 3

The chemistry between Sleepy Hollow‘s Tom Mison (Ichabod Crane) and Nicole Beharie (Abbie Mills) is unmistakable, whether you see them in person or in character on the screen.  They just have a natural connection, a spark that makes the audience squeal with delight at every sideways glance, touch, and epic hug.  It was never as evident as during the "Miharie" (smush name for Tom and Nikki) panel at DragonCon earlier this month.  It's like they have their own little language and with a glance, each knows what the other is saying, no words necessary!

Most of you that know me are aware I’m an “Ichabbie” (smush name for Ichabod and Abbie) fan and hopes are high that they will eventually get together.  Many Sleepyheads are concerned this season thanks to the addition of Ichabod's ex-girlfriend, sexy Betsy Ross (Nikki Reed) and obvious attraction Abbie's FBI assistant has for Ichabod.  I mean let's face it, who wouldn't be right? The man is looking better than ever in his new 21st century haircut!

In speaking with fans on social media, many watch each episode looking for signs that feelings run deep between the two Witnesses, a flame that has been there since day one. The little special moments that only they exchange, their trust in each other and fact that one would die for the other if necessary.  It's a bond unique to them.  There is no other person that either could be involved with, that would ever be as rooted and timeless as Ichabod and Abbie's connection.  No one. Not Betsy Ross, not Agent Reynolds (Lance Gross).  It is a journey that only our two Witnesses can take together. It's their destiny.

The question is, does TPTB know what they have with these two characters?  Will they repeat last years' debacle and deny the obvious outcry that our Ichabbie up their relationship a notch? I believe in Ichabbie and I believe in our evil geniuses (aka) Sleepy Hollow writers. Any fan of television shows similar to this, knows it's always about the couple!  Bones, Castle, The X-Files, Moonlighting are the first series that comes to mind.  All of them have two leads that eventually get together.  Some argue once the fun of the anticipation or chase is over, fans lose interest. I beg to differ and feel that there is enough danger, intrigue, excitment to keep our dynamic duo together no matter what they face.

With only four days until the big October 1 premiere, conversations on twitter have revved up as speculation of what's in store for Ichabod and Abbie continues. They've had their ups and downs in season two, that's for sure, but I think the Executive Producers and writers have a solid chapter in the Sleepy Hollow saga planned. It's evident in the premiere episode, as the foundation of the story is beautifully laid out at the very beginning.

With so much anxiety and rampant speculation as to if and when Ichabod and Abbie will get together, here's a little reminder, my top 11 Ichabbie Moments that have hinted their relationship is much more than just "Witness partners" and "friends''...

11. Many of us on twitter consistently discuss Ichabod's swoon-worthy bow to our girl in Sin Eater  and we all wonder could there really be a man out there that still has some old-world courtship manners in the 21st century? It was one of the cutest moments of season 1 and I never tire of seeing it.  It's one of the things that makes Ichabod so charming and I loved the flirty smile Abbie flashes.  Too adorable for words!

10. Abbie's cell phone password is Ichabod's birthday!  Come on now ladies, how many of us use our husband/boyfriend's info to safeguard our phones or other important accounts?  That was such a sweet reveal and of course, Ichabod's trust in Abbie to actually try it, then his realization she was telling the truth was epic.  Our Ichabbie connection exists no matter where they are- in 2015, 1781 or anywhere in the universe!

9. Abbie's hug in "Tempus Fugit"!  I loved that entire scene, how she asked that he call her "Lieftentant", then embracing him, clearly afraid if their plan didn't work she may never see him again.  Tom Mison said during the commentary on the DVD that the squeeze she gives him was unexpected. His expression of confusion was priceless, "Is this...common place in 2015?", Abbie: "Yeah. We hug it out." Too cutest for words! ♥

8. The duo have had their ups and downs trying to “redefine” their role as Witnesses, and in doing so, the communication between them sort of breaks down.  Of course this is a symptom of something much bigger than neither are willing to deal with just yet...their deepening feelings for each other.  In “Pittura Infamante,” Abbie, though appearing to be supportive as Ichabod readies for his “date” with Katrina, points out once again that Katrina has continually undermined their mission. The sadness in her voice and look on her face when she suggests he not go out was unmistakable.

7. “Kali Yuga” allows us to see that look of love as they eye each other during Karaoke. Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood), who I believe knows Ichabod and Abbie have feelings for one another, presses
both, though neither is about to admit anything. It is nice seeing the sisters talk during Karaoke, as well as later at the pawn shop, “He’s trying to work things out with his witch wife.” Oh, Abbie, you’re just waiting in the wings aren’t you?  After working apart for awhile and Ichabod learning Abbie kept the charm Rebel Angel Orion gave her, they are trapped in a vault at the Knox Estate trying to help Hawley.  The two hash things out, and finally appear to be on the same page again.  In a cutest Ichabbie moment, the two cement their new found bond by singing a duet to “Proud Mary.”

6. In “Heartless”, an obviously jealous Ichabod is called out by a Succubus! The episode is about a Siren (Caroline Ford) that Henry (John Noble) conjures to “feed” baby Moloch. Fast forward to Abbie, who seeks out Hawley’s help in identifying strange marks on their latest victim. Though he has designs on her, she doesn’t, and while back at the cabin talking to Ichabod, she flirts, putting her hand on his leg.  He notices! Of course the quick moment is interrupted by Katrina! Dammit! But things become clearer for our 18th Century traveler after Hawley is attacked and he realizes the "Privateer" has feelings for “Lieuftenant.” I love the scene in the car in which Ichabod keeps looking at her sideways, trying to figure a way to bring up the subject. I think it’s safe to say he is happy to hear she isn’t planning to start anything with the reprobate! Next Ichabod and Hawley are on a mission to find the Siren at the hip nightclub "Twerk".  After seeing the brut’s wandering eye, Ichabod questions his intentions with Abbie.  Of course being a 21st century man, Hawley refuses to discuss it, least of all with Ichabod! I love when the Succubus finally has a face to face conversation with Ichabod, “I sense your desire, it burns strong though you try so hard to hide it.” Priceless.

5. In “Weeping Lady,” Mary Wells (Heather Lind, Turn)  goes after Caroline (Laura Spencer), who has a crush on Ichabod, nearly kills Abbie who has unspoken feelings for him, and then goes after Katrina, his wife. Abbie almost becomes her second victim, dragged into a watery portal while at the library. A panicked Ichabod finally pulls her out but it’s too late! She’s not breathing and our 18th Century genius doesn’t know CPR! “No, no, no, no Abbie!” He really believes he’s lost her as he helplessly watches Hawley (Matt Barr) administer CPR.

4. One of the moments I always think back on, is when Abbie decided to stay in Purgatory so Ichabod could take Katrina, in hopes of stopping the Horseman of War.  The embrace he gives her didn't go unnoticed by his "witch wife", that's for sure!  "Remember our bond.  I'll come back to you." It was such a sweet, important moment.  The trust between Ichabod and Abbie cemented once again.

3. In Sin Eater, there several special moments- when Abbie realizes Ichabod has been kidnapped you can see the panic in her eyes.  Later, as she talks to Jenny about him, even she points out "you really care about this guy".  Yes she does!  But the moment that I think all Sleepyheads swooned over, was the touching scene where Abbie tries to talk Ichabod out of taking the poison! She's a mess at thought of losing him, "There's another way! There's always another way!" Ichabod: "Abbie!" Tears well in her eyes, "That's the first time you've called me Abbie."  My little heart melted!  Luckily our supposed hero Henry Parrish (John Noble) saves him, effectively separating Ichabod from the Horseman of Death and we see the first Ichabbie hug.  It was adorable! Clearly Abbie was shaken.

2.  All season Katrina (Katia Winter) was a thorn in Ichabod's (and Sleepyhead's) side.  Ichabod's lack of focus where his Witness duties were concerned thanks to learning of the numerous lies Katrina told him; then dealing with his Horseman of War son Henry, finally came to a head in "Tempus Fugit".  Discussion on social media progressed to the point that most fans felt Ichabod needed to make a clear choice between his duplicitous wife Katrina and partner, Abbie (whom Tom Mison says Ichabod "is completely in love with her").  I'll never forget asking Tom about what we could expect for the finale.  All he said was "Brace yourselves."  He was right!  After so much Crane family drama, seeing that Katrina was about to kill Abbie, Ichabod did what he had to do to protect our girl and killed his own wife! I gotta say I did not think they were going to kill her. I just figured she'd remain on the dark side of the force.  Every time I watch that scene, as Ichabod falls to the floor, Katrina in his arms, then seeing her disintegrate into the abyss and how he crumbles, was heartbreaking.  Poor Ichabod! But we all rejoiced that the choice was finally made to save Abbie, where his heart's destiny lies.

 1.  While trapped six feet under, Ichabod attempts to leave a video message for Abbie, and, pointedly, not his wife Katrina. But undoubtedly, the epic hug in “This Is War”, is the #1 Ichabbie Moment that no matter if you ship them or not, fans talk about! Abbie contacts Ichabod while in Purgatory. The ‘hug heard ’round the world’ clearly depicts how much they care for each other, as neither seems to want to let it end, letting it go on for a long moment.  It is the one scene that really does depict exactly how they feel and is most definitely the best Ichabbie Moment of the series thus far!

Whether you watch Sleepy Hollow for the intriguing mythology of the coming apocalypse, the incredibly layered characters, the suspense, the monsters or just to catch a glimpse of Ichabod and Abbie's burgeoning romance, "The Hollow" is a show not to be missed!  Season 3 begins on its new night, Thursday, October 1st at 9 p.m., following the season premiere of Bones.

'The X-Files': Exclusive Two-Part Trailer Previews During 'Gotham' & 'Minority Report'

From the moment I saw the banter between skeptic Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) and true believer Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) I was hooked!  The X-Files took over my life like no other series had before as the mythology of government conspiracy, alien abductions and other-worldly phenomena captured a loyal following.  I'll never forget anxiously waiting in line for the first movie, The X-Files: Fight the Future and that moment fans had been debating about finally came....the kiss!  Yes I am a Mully (smush name for Mulder and Scully) shipper, so when they were interrupted by a deadly bee carrying a virus that stung Scully, I was a bit upset! LOL  But the movie was everything XPhilers expected and more!

The X-Files has been one of televisions most enduring serials, with a cult following that in my estimation, rivals Star Trek.  After nine seasons on FOX, the show pulled up shop but due to high demand another movie was made, The X-Files: I Want To Believe, as a stand alone.  Although it didn't garner the theatrical numbers executives hoped, fans clamored for another movie, especially upon the 20th Anniversary of the series' debut.  I had the honor of chatting with the Cigarette Smoking Man himself, William B. Davis on a Special Edition of RHeart Radio for The X-Files 20th Anniversary on Blogtalk.  It was surreal talking to the #1 Villain in Science Fiction history about his role, extra-terrestrials, UFO's and conspiracies!

XPhilers turned out in droves for The X-Files 20th Anniversary panel at the San Diego Comic-Con in 2013 and the question on everyone's mind?  Will there be another movie?  The explosive turn out for the event clued the network, as well as the show's showrunner Chris Carter and stars Duchovny and Gillian, that we still wanted more! We weren't giving up!

FOX heard our cries and announced on March 24, 2015 that there would indeed be another season of The X-Files! A six-episode event, that will begin airing in a two-part season premiere Sunday, January 24, 2016, 10:00 p.m.ET/8:00 p.m.PT, following the NFC Championship Game.  It continues on Monday, January 25, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.  Duchovny has described the new season as a six-hour movie, so I'm definitely up for the next chapter of this alien-government conspiracy laden saga.

Next week, there will be an exclusive special two-part trailer of The XFiles airing Monday, September 28, 2015, part one during Gotham, at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT and part two during Minority Report, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.

Gotham: Rise of the Villains began its sophomore season last week, setting the tone as a new threat hit the city when the criminally insane conveniently stashed at Arkham Asylum were recruited to join a brutal take over!  This week, on Gotham at 8/7c, "a deadly escape rocks the city and following his reinstatemtn, it's up to Gordon (Ben McKenzie) to track the Maniax.  Meanwhile, Galavan (James Frain) plans his next move, while Bruce (David Mazouz) enlists the help of his father's old friend to unlock the secrets in his office, and Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) attempts to ask out Kristin Kringle (guest star Chelsea Sapck)."

On Minority Report at 9/8c, "it's a match made in...the future.  Dash (Stark Sands) and Vega (Meagan Good) team up again to find a killer who is currently down on love.  Meanwhile, Dash continues to reach out to this siblings for help."

If you're a fan of The X-Files, you won't want to miss the exclusive special two-part trailer, Monday, September 28, 2015, beginning at 8/7c on FOX!

*Headed to the New York City Com-Con?  Don't miss an exclusive screening of the very first new episode of The X-Files on Saturday, October 11, 2015 at 1:30 p.m., Main Stage.  It will be followed by a Q&A with creator Chris Carter and star David Duchovny.  For more information, go to NYCC website.

Sneak Peek: 'Sleepy Hollow' - "I, Witness"...Fans Can Believe In "The Hollow"

Ever since the season two finale, then the announcement of the season three renewal, Sleepyheads have speculated, debated and fretted over what's in store for Sleepy Hollow's junior year.  As news
seeped from the network like a leaking faucet, slowly dropping hints about the big reboot, rippling rings of fire, fans nerves tingled, afraid to believe.  Afraid to raise our expectations too high to avoid the pain of disappointment.  Could Team Sleepy recover from its season two fall from grace? It was very long descent from the top that came crashing down in a loud crescendo, sending cries worldwide..."We want our Sleepy Hollow back!"

I'm here to say that it's okay Sleepyheads...BELIEVE!  Sleepy Hollow is back, with everything fans missed- the banter between Ichabod and Abbie, the little looks only they share, the Ichabod Outrage and commentary we love so much, the little quips and the Ichabbie connection that makes Sleepy Hollow, our Sleepy Hollow!

As I've previously reported, it's been a year since that fateful day Ichabod killed Katrina and in its wake, he decides to take time for a "walkabout", to figure out where he fits in.  Meanwhile, Abbie also leaves town to complete her FBI training and headed to Quantico.  Now working at the Westchester FBI offices in Sleepy Hollow, our girl seemingly fits right in and it's clear she loves her new job! Surprisingly it has been nine months since Abbie heard from Ichabod, so things are a little strained upon reuniting. However, they pick up right where they left off, not missing a beat and it's evident they missed each other by the glances and little smiles.

Over the summer many of us speculated on what aspects would change for the reboot of the series. One very animated conversation was what will Ichabod call Abbie?  No longer a "Lieftenent", she's an FBI Agent, but one of the endearing qualities between Ichabbie is his nickname for her. And we know from "Tempus Fugit" it's clear she wants him to use it.  It's part of the Ichabbie magic.  Though I don't want to give you any major spoilers, I will quell your fears that this issue is immediately addressed.

Another topic of discussion during the hiatus was Katrina's enchanted necklace and that she was wearing it when she disintegrated into ashes.  We all said that without the necklace, how can Ichabod and Abraham lock horns again since it's the only way to actually see him? I'll give you this little tidbit- somehow, Ichabod still has it! Not sure exactly how other than maybe it just showed up one day at the cabin? Hoping we get some type of explanation as the season unfolds.

Jenny is back and better than ever, eager to give Ichabod and Abbie a helping hand.  Apparently she's been trying to figure out her place and even attempted to work as a Paralegal! Somehow I just don't picture her in a law office, but breaking the law is a whole other story!  Now she's bartending at the pub where the gang hangs out, happy to give our dynamic duo free beer! LOL

Irving is MIA, as we all well know, Orlando Jones will not be returning and Jenny informs Ichabod that "someone good at slipping in and out of countries undetected" helped him disappear.

I know many fans are concerned about Betsy Ross and the story she shares with Ichabod.  We do see her in the first episode via flashbacks and thank God we still get to see Ichabod with his long locks! Obviously it's widely known that Ichabod and Betsy had a "thing", though he denies it when talking to Abbie and Jenny.  Mi thinks he doth protest to much and I'm anxious to see the reaction of her introduction on twitter during the broadcast!

C. Thomas Howell appears in the premiere episode as Abbie's FBI boss, however, by the end of the episode things will change.  Another new face is Abbie's assistant at the FBI who notices and gawks at Ichabod (much like Sleepyheads LOL) with her attraction clearly evident! Not sure how I feel about this or how it will play out.  We'll have to keep watching but I'm hoping it's not anything to worry about Ichabbie fans!

Finally, as described in earlier press releases, a woman named Pandora (Shannyn Sossamon) hits town.  I can confirm there is a Pandora's box and she definitely is mysterious, with a plan of some sort. Although it initially seems diabolical in nature, I'm not sure which side of the fence she's on- good or bad?  It all remains to be seen.

The S3 premiere episode will remind fans why they fell in love with Sleepy Hollow.  There are a few flirty moments between Ichabod and Abbie that Sleepyheads will adore, as well as an Ichabbie hug. The episode reminds me of my favorite from season one, "Midnight Ride", as Ichabod is introduced to an eatery seemingly from Colonial times- it's hilarious! The chemistry and spark between Tom Mison and Nicole Beharie jumps off the screen, echoing season one in spades. Although the Headless Horseman will not be on this season, the storyline is most definitely about him! The underlying mythology is the second tribulation from the Book of Revelations but what evil lurks, stalking The Hollow?  You'll have to tune in October 1st at 9 p.m. on FOX to find out!

Don't miss the S3 Premiere Trending Party on twitter, October 1st beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET!  First, how well do you know Sleepy Hollow? One hour of trivia for a prize you'll definitely want to fight for! Be sure to use #SleepyTrivia to be entered.  All correct answers will be entered for the drawing! Then stick around for the premiere of Sleepy Hollow, "I, Witness" and trend #SleepyHollowS3 from 9-10 p,m. ET!

Going to see the Sleepy Hollow panel at the New York Comic-Con October 11, 2015? Join Sleepyheads for a meet up after the panel at 7:00 p.m. Where you ask? At the Headless Horseman of course, located at 119 West 15th Street, New York, NY, to chat, gush and mingle with other fans of the show! *Presented by Tom Mison Fans.

STAR WARS: Iconic and Rare Collectibles To Be Auctioned- Own Screen-Used Blockade Runner or Darth Vader's Helmet

As Star Wars fans gear up, anxiously awaiting the highly anticipate return of the saga to our big screens, collectibles are in demand now more than ever.

Profiles In History is an auction house that caters to fans who collect unique treasures from film and television, making its mark in Hollywood thanks to their first memorabilia auction in 1985. It has grown into the largest auction house in the country, dedicated to entertainment memorabilia.  They procure rare items, anything from costume designs to old scripts to building miniatures, hand props, pretty much anything used in a movie, they've got it.

This month they are unveiling 'The Gary Kurtz Collection', a myriad of rare and exclusive posters held by the man himself, two-time Academy Award nominee Kurtz, who was the producer of Star Wars: A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back.  In addition, he produced the hit film American Graffiti (which Harrison Ford starred in) and The Dark Crystal.  Not only was he nominated for Best Picture for Star Wars: A New Hope and American Graffiti, but in 1973-1981 he worked closely with George Lucas as Vice President of Lucasfilm.  He was instrumental in developing the original Star Wars triology, bringing the first two films to the big screen.  Profiles In History will present 30 lots of Star Wars posters exclusively from Mr. Kurtz's personal collection.

In addition, various one-of-a-kind collectibles from the Star Wars franchise will be auctioned.  "The sale of such iconic 'Star Wars' pieces used in the making of the original trilogy, like the Blockade Runner miniature, Rebel Fleet helmet and Princess Leia "slave costume," is unheard of. Each is instantly recognizable and played a significant role in the creation of perhaps the greatest science fiction saga in motion picture history", said Joe Maddalena, President/CEO of Profiles in History.

As I previously reported in July, the iconic screen-used 'Blockade Runner', the first-seen ship of the entire saga in Star Wars: A New Hope, is set to be auctioned. Below is a full description of the items to be included in this incredible, historic auction event.  If you're a Star Wars fan, you'll want to snag some of these one-of-a-kind collectibles:

Lot 1543: Original screen used Rebel "Blockade Runner" filming miniature from Star Wars: Episode

IV - A New Hope. (TCF, 1977)

In the opening sequence of the first Star Wars, the Rebel Blockade Runner, the ship carrying Princess Leia, C-3PO and R2-D2, enters into frame and is pursued by the massive Imperial Star Destroyer. This one-of-a-kind 16-inch miniature was built to provide the illusion of the spacecraft receding into the distance due to the limited length of the Dykstraflex track (the first digital motion control camera system ever put into use). The prominent feature of the ship is the series of eleven engine nacelles mounted at the rear, each fitted with an aviation incandescent lamp to provide the desired "ignition" effect. Built to withstand the resulting heat generated from the lamps, the Blockade Runner is crafted of aluminum and painted gray with red accents. This miniature comes directly from the collection of Grant McCune, Chief Model Maker on the Miniature and Optical Effects Unit on Star Wars, who won an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects on the film. The miniature is professionally mounted on a powered custom display case which, when activated, illuminates the engine lights (all but one of the original bulbs from the production still work). One minor detail is missing from the end of a single engine; otherwise, in very fine production used condition. Comes with a letter of authenticity from McCune's wife, Katherine McCune. Unlike other Star Wars models of which many examples were created, this is the only Blockade Runner of this scale that was made. An extremely rare opportunity to own a milestone piece that set the tone for the entire Star Wars franchise. Indeed, First Cameraman for the Miniature and Optical Effects Unit and fellow Academy Award winner, Richard Edlund, has stated that the opening shot in the film was the most important shot because it had to grab the audience's attention. $200,000 - $300,000

Lot 1544: Original screen used "Rebel Fleet Trooper" helmet from Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. (TCF, 1977)
One of the iconic, signature helmets worn by the Rebel Fleet Troopers in the first Star Wars film. Designed by John Mollo, who won the Academy Award for Best Costume Design for the film, the vacuum-formed plastic helmet has a long plastic plate attached to the back and an opaque gray visor plate attached to the front. A simulated receiver with steel aerial antenna is attached to the wearer's left side; a vacuum-formed plastic chin cup fits on a black canvas chinstrap and the interior features petal-shaped foam padding. Its simple yet elegant design is synonymous with the look of the film. Indeed, variations of this design are worn by the Rebel Ground Crew in the hangar sequences and by other members of the Rebel Forces in the closing ceremony sequence. Exceedingly rare, this is the first Rebel Fleet Trooper helmet we have ever encountered and the first of its kind to appear at public auction. $150,000 - $250,000

Lot 1558: Carrie Fisher "Slave Leia" costume collection and display from Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi. (TCF, 1983)

Without question, Carrie Fisher's "Slave Leia" costume is among the most memorable in the Star Wars franchise. This ensemble represents the most important and complete compilation of original Star Wars pieces to have survived production in private hands. The mannequin is dressed in production made elements distinguishable by their flexible, gold-painted red dense-urethane rubber (all fabric parts, as well as the chain, were re-created to match existing photographs). These original flexible pieces were used on set before being returned to the ILM model shop and replaced by altered versions, since several elements had to be resized due to Carrie Fisher's weight loss during shooting.  In addition to this collection are all of the one-of-a-kind original wax Masters sculpted by artist Richard Miller. They can be differentiated by their extremely delicate wax fabrication common with jewelry making. Also among them are all of the alternate Slave Leia masters first deemed too complex by George Lucas. They can be seen worn by a model in the included series of (6) rare slides still bearing the original name for the film "Revenge of the Jedi." Also included are several design and paint studies representing the evolution of these costume elements, for instance the front and back bikini plates, as well as the hair piece on the mannequin. Completing the ensemble are a collection of original documents, photos, notes and pencil drawings as well as Carrie Fisher's measurements used to create the masters. The collection comes with a letter of authenticity by Richard Miller the original designer, sculptor, mold maker and painter for the costume and a 30-year veteran of Industrial Light and Magic. $80,000 - $120,000

Lot 1542: Mitchell VistaVision High Speed #1 (VVHS1) used on Star Wars

Quite possibly the most influential and important motion picture camera in history, VistaVision High Speed #1's first project started with one of Hollywood's grandest illusions: the parting of the Red Sea in Cecil B. DeMille's The Ten Commandments (1956) (only two Mitchell VistaVision High Speed cameras were ever made). When 20th Century Fox was faced with the visual effects challenges of Star Wars, the experts concurred that the VistaVision process was the best system available. Having not been properly maintained for over ten years, Paramount sent a large shipment of cameras for the visual effects team to sort through, of which VVHS1 played a very important part. George Lucas tasked Richard Edlund and his future-ILM effects wizards to use VVHS1 to photograph a great number of high-speed miniature effects shots, including the explosion of the Death Star, according to their own camera reports. Measures 31 in. long x 17 in. tall x 18 in. wide. Accompanied with original Mitchell geared head, original case (and spare VVHS2 case), lens shade kit with case, (2) 2,000-ft. magazines sets, external viewfinder with case, high speed motor in original case, backup high speed motor with original case, VistaVision studio power unit with original case and an additional original case with accessories. This camera started the VistaVision renaissance for using its unique capabilities for special effects that continued for two decades. It is difficult to argue that the real magic behind Star Wars is the ground-breaking visual effects which revolutionized the filmmaking process ever since. Comes with a letter of provenance from Roy H. Wagner, ASC. $60,000 - $80,000

Lot 1550Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back production made prototype "Darth Vader" helmet. (TCF, 1980)

A production made Darth Vader helmet made between the production of Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977) and The Empire Strikes Back. The Helmet is believed to be a transitional test production piece, with production tells of both the A New Hope and Empire screen used helmets. Constructed of fiberglass, the chin on the faceplate still features the small triangular cut out, unique to the A New Hope helmet yet the dome to face plate male/female attachment ring is of Empire style. The inside is unfinished, with no padding apart from a loose section of foam, although the inner cross grills and eye lenses are correct to the screen used versions. The outer dome's edge is thinner in width to the final screen used versions. These cosmetic differences compound that it was not intended for screen use by the production but nonetheless it would have played a significant and important role in the developmental progression of Darth Vader's helmet.  $30,000 - $50,000

Lot 1561. Section of the "Death Star" under construction from Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi. (TCF, 1983)
Vintage original 12.25 x 6 x 6 in. portion of the iconic "Death Star" miniature surface. Built in the ILM model shop and constructed of gray-painted cast resin components and chemically etched delicate brass pieces painted in gray and rust colors. Other areas of the model are made of etched brass and piping glued to the surface to give an "under construction" look. Two instantly recognizable 4.5 in. Turbolaser towers are strategically placed on the set piece. Model sections like these were affixed to the perimeter of the Death Star miniature model surfaces to give forced perspective illusion of mass. This is the first example of its kind that we have encountered. Obtained from a former ILM employee. In vintage very fine condition. $25,000 - $35,000

Lot 1553: "C-3PO" Oscar presented to Brian Johnson by ILM for his work on Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back. (TCF, 1980)

Vintage approx. 13 in. tall Industrial Light and Magic in-house created C3PO "Oscar-style" statuette presented by chief model maker Lorne Peterson to departing special visual effects wizard Brian Johnson. The hollow-cast resin, gold-painted figure stands on a 6 in. round silver painted base that has been signed by (30+) ILM crewmembers including Joe Johnston, Richard Edlund, Ken Ralston, Dennis Muren, Selwyn Eddy III, Michael McAlister, Warren Franklin, Laurie Vermont, Lorne Peterson, Steve Gawley, Tom St. Armand, Samuel Comstock, Conrad Buff, Howard Stein, Mike Mackenzie, Ed Jones, Duncan Meyers, Ed Breed, Ed Hirsh,. Patrick Fitzsimmons, Robert Finley, Jr., Patricia Blau, Laura Kaysen, and Chrissie England. On the top of the base, around the robot's feet is handwritten, "In appreciation Brian Johnson 'Empire Strikes Back' ILM 1981". Comes with a signed LOA by Brian Johnson. Slight cracking in the plastic where the feet mount to the base; overall, in vintage very good condition. $15,000 - $20,000

Lot 1559: "Jabba the Hutt" maquette for Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi. (TCF, 1983)

Designed and sculpted by Phil Tippett, this 10 in. x 5 in. x 6 in. maquette is made of resin and hand-painted to detail. It was originally sculpted out of sculpey and then molded to create this painted master to present to George Lucas for design approval. This is the only example of its kind in existence. The original sculpture was destroyed in the molding process and the mold, itself, has long since deteriorated. This piece is featured in the coffee table book Industrial Light & Magic: The Art of Special Effects and is shown in front of George Lucas among other Star Wars creatures, ships and other pieces (see attached image).  It comes from the collection of Academy Award-winning visual effects artist Phil Tippett. $12,000 - $15,000

Lot 1562Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace "Naboo blaster". (TCF, 1999)

Solid cast resin and resin component prop "Naboo CR-2 Blaster". Measuring 17 x 9 in. the futuristic weapon is modeled on an existing Calico M950/950A pistol with additional space aged knobs, grooves and ridges added. The heavy blaster features a solid 1-piece body with added scopes, metal strap hoops and webbing straps. Studio painted to appear as gunmetal gray and flat black steel with silver metal elements. Exhibiting some scratching to edges and minor paint chipping. The impressive prop remains in production used vintage fine condition. $4,000 - $6,000

Fans Rejoice: Lexi Ainsworth Returns to General Hospital!

People talk of destiny, that the big man upstairs has plans for each one of us, though we may not realize what it is or where that path will lead us.  If someone told me four years ago that my love for Ethan and Kristina from General Hospital would have set me on the unexpected journey into entertainment journalism, I'd have said they were crazy! But here I am, doing something that I absolutely love, with success I never dreamed of.

Some ask me what RHeart stands for- 'Reluctant Heart' is the name of the Ethina (Ethan and Kristina smush name) fan board created to support Lexi Ainsworth and Nathan Parsons.  What made it even more special, was the fact that both Nathan and Lexi supported the fan board.  This rarely happens in the world of fandom, so I was so touched and honored that they supported us, as much as we supported them.

RHeart Network, the Fan's Voice was birthed after our girl Lexi was fired for reasons I will not get into here. We were devastated. All of us were so upset by the news, on a whim, my cohort Dania Padron and I started RHeart Radio on Blogtalk to give fans an outlet to express their feelings. Little did we know Lexi would surprise us by calling in during our Farewell Lexi episode dedicated to her! Such a cool moment in RHeart history!  I was mortified to learn the poor girl had been holding about 20 minutes! We were floored and so appreciated her taking the time.

After Nexi's (Nathan & Lexi smush name) exits, RHeart Radio continued, setting an example of positivity within the daytime drama genre and carrying on to make our dynamic duo proud though they had gone on to other projects.  We became involved with the 'Save Our Soaps' movement and assisted in the great task of keeping General Hospital on air.  Since then, everything snowballed as I started booking actors, writers, producers and directors from some of the most popular daytime, prime-time, online television series, as well as movies.  I've been so lucky to cover red carpet events such as the Daytime Emmy's, Indie Series Awards, web festivals, Comic Cons, film screenings and various fan events.  It's been quite a journey. Through all the ups and downs, lots of laughter and fun, a few very painful, agonizing misunderstandings and loss, I wouldn't change a thing.  I am very grateful for all the amazing opportunities I've had, as well as for all the incredible friends I've made.  Many of you are aware that I credit Nathan Parson and Lexi Ainsworth for this blessing because were it not for them, as well as the Ethina fans, the 'Reluctant Heart' fan board would never have been created, nor RHeart Network, the Fan's Voice exist.

Ethan and Kristina fans were heartbroken knowing we'd never see our couple get together. However, once a fan, always a fan! The fact neither remained on General Hospital never stopped us from supporting Nathan and Lexi as they moved on to bigger and better things! Nathan had incredible success on the hit HBO series True Blood and is currently in recurring status on The CW's The Originals. Lexi has been in several different television and movies, including CBS's Criminal Minds, Cougar Town, most recently on The CW's iZombie and Teen Wolf.  Not to mention her latest film, A Girl Like Me, which was released March 27, 2015.

When I heard Lexi was returning for a short time, I was ecstatic! She has been sorely missed and it will be nice to see our 'Davis Girls' reunited!  I hear Kristina is deviously manipulative as ever, with an edge that will be interesting to watch.  Last we saw of the character played by Lindsey Morgan, she had been charged with assaulting Connie (Kelly Sullivan) and was sentenced to 500 hours of community service.  Later, she was written off as she headed to Wesleyn University.

If you're an Ethina fan, you'll recall the final scene between Ethan and Kristina, November 4, 2011. She was headed off to Yale after getting off the wait list in time for late registration. Practically the entire cast was in those final heartbreaking scenes, including a drunk Diane, Max and Milo, "Who died? Who died?"  And then, "You beat the Grim Reaper, you're getting out of here!" Priceless.  Of course Ethina fans were anxious to see what Ethan would say since they had been tied at the hip most of the year, getting closer every day.  Our hero waltzed in late, to the dismay of Sonny, who reluctantly allows his daughter a little privacy for her final moments with Ethan.  After giving her a friendship bracelet, the exchange brought tears to every Ethina fan's eyes, as he wished her well.

Ethan: "When you get to Yale, take full advantage of the
opportunities they have there. That includes people, okay?
If you meet some bloak, give him a chance."

Kristina: "I'll give him a chance. But in my heart, I'll be waiting for you."

Since then, I'd say she matches Ethan's 'world experiences' in spades!  In my little fantasy world, they'd bring Nathan back for a couple of months so we'd finally get what we missed out on, then both could ride off into the soap sunset together!  I know, I know...but a girl can dream can't she!  So what is in store for Kristina? You'll have to tune in to General Hospital, 2 p.m. starting September 17!

To commemorate Lexi's return, RHeart is hosting a Live Chat Party, 9/17 at 2p ET on the new (yet still developing) RHeart Network website!  Log into the chatbox and let's see our girls triumphant return together!

Here's a lil reminder of why we love Lexi and our Ethina:

One of my favorite journalists, is award-winning Soledad O'Brien, who has broken barriers, becoming one of the most influential journalists of our time.  Today she announced her national "I AM LATINO IN AMERICA" tour, which will focus on amplifying critical issues
within the Latino communities.

Influential celebrities, national and local advocates, business leaders, students and academics will join O’Brien along the tour.  “Latinos are 54 million strong, make up a quarter of the children in this country, and include 25 million voters with $1.5 trillion in buying power,” said O'Brien.  “Our tour will empower the U.S. Hispanic community’s collective voice in a crucial election year."
More than 4,000 college students as well as local and national Latino leaders are expected to attend the first three events hosted by the following colleges and universities:
