Several will be on hand to make the announcement including Tracee Ellis Ross (Black-ish), Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin), Tessa Thompson (Dear White People), Jason George (Grey's Anatomy), Alfred Enoch (How to Get Away With Murder) and Aja Naomi King (How to Get Away With Murder). Of course the President and CEO of the NAACP, Cornell William Brooks will present, with Special Commentary by Nischelle Turner (Entertainment Tonight) and Jake Smollett (The Middleman).
The NAACP Image Awards, founded in 1967, the organization honors people of color in film, television, music, art and literature. First televised in 1994, the organization is moving with the times, making the jump to present both the nominations and ceremony via live stream February 6, 2015, at 9p/8c as a two-hour special. In addition, there will be a one-hour red carpet live stream prior to the ceremony beginning at 8p/7c.
